It’s hard to pick one album, but one that I go back to all the time is Funeral by Arcade Fire. I don’t think anything has sounded like it before or since, and every song is a ten out of ten.

I make a point of rotating them otherwise some stuff never comes out of the pack.
Currently:
Various (1970 release) - Picnic (A Breath of Fresh Air) (One of my favourite albums - try "Mother Dear" by Barclay James Harvest, or "The Good Mr Square" by the Pretty Things...
A Band Called 'O' - "Within Reach" (try A Smile Is Diamond - listen to it ALL the way through, outro is brilliant)
Split Enz - "Dizrythmnia" (try "Charley") This was the Finn brothers before Crowded House...

since this thread appeared I've given this a lot of thought, but I've had to concede I don't think I have a 'go to album'
I remember someone said to me at at school "do you ever think you've got so many records that you don't know what to play?" I feel like that even more now, 35 years on from him saying that.
